Why I Started With Our Burnout Program First (And What I Wish Someone Had Told Me First)

Jun 18, 2026
There was a point in my life where I was doing everything I was supposed to be doing and still felt like I was falling apart.

I was showing up, putting in the work, meeting the expectations. But underneath all of it, I was exhausted! My health was suffering. My focus was gone. The things that used to energize me had started to feel like obligations. I was burned out, and I did not fully recognize it until the weight of it became impossible to ignore.

Burnout doesn't announce itself. It creeps in slowly, disguised as busyness, dedication, and the belief that if you just push a little harder, things will eventually level out. For a lot of us, by the time we realize what is happening, we have already been running on empty for longer than we want to admit.

I know that experience personally. And it is exactly why I started Stack Progress Nutrition and Wellness and I I developed our first program focused on Burnout!

What I wish someone had told me sooner is this: you do not have to earn your way back to balance by suffering through it alone. There is a body of research on sustainable behavior change, on lifestyle medicine, on what actually helps people recover and rebuild. That information exists. What was missing for me was someone who could translate it into something practical, something I could actually use in the middle of a real, demanding life.
So I started doing that work myself. Not by overhauling everything at once, but by starting small. One intentional step at a time. And over time, those steps stacked. Slowly, steadily, I found my way back.

But my own experience was only part of the story. As I looked around, I saw the same patterns everywhere. I saw it on the teams I led, in the organizations I consulted with, and in the lives of people closest to me! Burnout was not an individual problem. It was showing up everywhere, and most people were navigating it without any real support or tools.

That is what led me to develop this program, for individuals who are ready to reclaim their energy and their health, and for organizations that want to create the conditions where their people can actually thrive. It is grounded in the six pillars of lifestyle medicine and built around the same approach that worked for me: practical, evidence-informed, and designed for real life. Not a quick fix. Not an all-or-nothing Monday morning "restart." Not a one-time workshop. Instead, it's about stacking progress, through small changes, and sustaining success. Which leads to a foundation for lasting change.

I built this because no one should have to find balance the hard way. This framework exists, and it was built for you.

Stack Progress. Small Changes. Sustain Success.
